The Scientific Committee of the Foundation has selected Ludovica Brusaferri (London South Bank University, UK) as the recipient of the 2026 Excellence in Neuroinflammation Award, dedicated this year to the theme “Neuroinflammation and Pain.”
The awarded study, published in Brain (2025), provides new evidence on the relationship between trigeminal nerve microstructure, neuroinflammation, and brainstem activity in migraine, offering valuable insights into the biological mechanisms underlying migraine and pain disorders.
